The results were announced by retired Justice Adolphus Enebeli, the Chief Election Officer of the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC), during a press briefing in Port Harcourt on Saturday, as reported by Channels Television.

However, Enebeli mentioned that the announcement for the Etche Local Government Area has been postponed, as collation of the results is still underway.

He also confirmed that results for Etche LGA and the 319 councillorship positions will be released at a later date.
