Commissioner of Police (CP) Chris Aimionowane in Kebbi presided over the event and noted that the promotions were based on the recommendations of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun, with approval from the Police Service Commission.
CP Aimionowane congratulated the newly-promoted officers on behalf of the IGP and encouraged them to be more dedicated in their roles.
He reminded the officers that their promotions were a recognition of their hard work and dedication, and he emphasized the importance of discipline and loyalty to constituted authority for further advancement in the police force.
Speaking on behalf of the promoted officers, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Ali Yusuf expressed their gratitude to the IGP and the Police Service Commission for recommending and approving their promotions. He promised that the officers would redouble their efforts in fulfilling their responsibilities.
The ceremony also received commendation from the state Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Alhaji Nura Fingila, who praised CP Aimionowane for his efforts in combating crime in the state and his commitment to an open-door policy and community policing.
Among those decorated were two ACPs promoted to Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs), one Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) elevated to ACP, and two Superintendents of Police (SPs) promoted to CSP.
