Governor Agbu Kefas has emerged as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Taraba State ahead of the upcoming election.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The party’s primary election concluded with Kefas defeating his closest rival, Mu’azu Jaji, by a landslide margin. He polled 166,357 votes, while Jaji secured 4,110 votes.
After being declared winner on Friday evening, the Taraba governor described the exercise as a credible and successful democratic process. He urged party members and supporters to set aside differences from the primaries and unite for the development of the state.
Kefas also expressed gratitude to APC leaders at various levels for their support and confidence in his leadership, as well as appreciation to the people of Taraba State for their continued backing of his administration.
He reaffirmed his commitment to leadership anchored on fairness, humility, and service, adding that his government would continue implementing programmes and policies aimed at improving the lives of residents across the state.
The governor further pledged to build on his administration’s achievements as preparations intensify for the governorship election in Taraba State.
