As reported by The Nation, Owohunwa was part of the twelve Commissioners of Police whose promotion to Assistant Inspectors General of Police (AIG) was sanctioned by the Police Service Commission.
In a directive to officers, DCP Waheed instructed all Area Commanders and Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) in the state to maintain optimal security in their respective areas.
He issued this directive during a strategic meeting with officers and department heads within the command, addressing preparations for the upcoming Yuletide season.
It is noteworthy that Waheed previously served as the Commander of MOPOL 2 with headquarters in Keffi, Lagos.
