Breaking: Mr. Ibu Quietly Recovers From Recent Leg Surgery, Communication Takes A Back Seat....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Renowned comic actor, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu, remains bedridden after undergoing a leg amputation a month ago. His health has further deteriorated, leading to a recent surgery involving the removal of part of the same leg that was amputated earlier. Regrettably, he now communicates sparingly, heightening concerns about his well-being.
The unsettling news continues with another veteran actor, Amaechi Muonagor, whose health has taken a dire turn. Hospitalized at Nnamdi Azikwe University Teaching Hospital in Anambra State for over two months, Muonagor is grappling with severe health issues. The National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Dr. Emeka Rollas, shared updates on both actors’ conditions, expressing resignation to fate.
Dr. Rollas recently visited Muonagor and reported the actor’s pitiable state, noting complete paralysis in his legs. AGN has initiated support through the AGN Trust Fund, providing N250,000 to Muonagor’s account. However, the funds may fall short given Muonagor’s extensive medical needs documented with the Guild HMO and Insurance policy.
Calling for collective assistance, Dr. Rollas urged fans and well-wishers to join hands with philanthropic Nigerians to support Muonagor during this challenging time. Additionally, he emphasized the importance for young actors to enroll in the AGN HMO and Insurance programs.
Amaechi Muonagor’s cousin, Tony, previously shared the actor’s health update on Facebook, revealing a battle against kidney disease, diabetes, and stroke. Tony explained that Muonagor, who had been managing diabetes over the years, is currently undergoing weekly dialysis and other treatments at Nnamdi Azikwe University Teaching Hospital.
The challenging circumstances surrounding both Mr. Ibu and Amaechi Muonagor underscore the need for support from the entertainment community and well-wishers as they confront these serious health crises.
