BREAKING: Nigerian Army Captures Deadly IPOB/ESN Commander ‘Gentle De Yahoo’ (Photos Emerge)
Troops of the Nigerian Army have arrested a dreaded commander of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its armed wing, the Eastern Security Network (ESN), Ifeanyi Eze Okorienta, better known as Gentle de Yahoo.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The wanted militant leader was captured during a joint operation by soldiers of the 34 Artillery Brigade and other security agencies at his hideout in Aku-Ihube, Okigwe Local Government Area of Imo State.
In a statement confirming the breakthrough, the Army revealed that the raid led to the recovery of a cache of arms and incriminating items. These included one English pistol, 120 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, 25 rounds of 7.62mm NATO, a cartridge, six mobile phones, military and police uniforms, and even a German flag.
Troops also uncovered a criminal workshop used for dismantling stolen vehicles, destroyed 10 motorcycles, and disrupted other illegal operations linked to the ESN commander.
Beyond Imo, the Army reported a series of coordinated operations across Adamawa, Katsina, Kogi, Benue, and Plateau States. In Adamawa and Katsina, a total of 10 kidnap victims were rescued, while two others were freed in Lokoja, Kogi State. Two terrorists were gunned down in Katsina, with weapons and a motorcycle recovered.
Elsewhere, troops killed a violent extremist in Benue and seized charms and a phone, while 11 suspects tied to robbery, gunrunning, and violent extremism were arrested across Benue, Kogi, and Kaduna. In Plateau, soldiers recovered 40 rustled cattle and returned them to their rightful owners.
