This directive was part of a communiqué released after the NLC Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting, held on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, in Abuja.
The union also called for the immediate inauguration of the Governing Board of the National Pension Commission (PENCOM), warning that failure to meet these demands would trigger a nationwide strike.
The meeting, chaired by NLC President, Comrade Joe Ajaero, focused on pressing issues impacting Nigerian workers, the trade union movement, and the country’s broader socio-economic situation.
