Breaking: Police Smash Trafficking Ring, Rescue 13 Victims And 3 Kidnapped Individuals

The Nigeria Police Force has ramped up efforts to combat organized crime, particularly human trafficking and kidnapping, in a bid to strengthen national security and reduce crime to its bare minimum.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, praised the successes recorded across various commands, highlighting them as part of ongoing initiatives to address criminal activities nationwide.

In a statement released on Sunday by Force spokesperson Olumuyiwa Adejobi, it was revealed that 13 trafficking victims were rescued in Kaduna State, while 3 kidnap victims were freed in Ogun State.

On Friday, the Kaduna State Command arrested three suspects—Samson Peter, 25; Haruna Duniya, 45; and Abdulazaq Olawole, 58—who were caught transporting 13 trafficking victims to Oyo State in an unmarked vehicle. The victims were safely rescued, and investigations are ongoing.

In a separate operation on Thursday, the Ogun State Command tracked down a kidnappers’ den linked to a recent abduction. During a gunfight with the suspects, five members of the gang were neutralized, and the three kidnapped victims were successfully freed.

Authorities recovered various firearms, three mobile phones, and N5.2 million in cash, along with the vehicles of the victims.

Egbetokun commended the officers for their bravery, commitment, and patriotism, urging all police personnel to remain steadfast in their mission to achieve peace. He reassured the public of the Police Force’s continued dedication to combating all forms of security threats.
