Breaking: President Tinubu Departs Abuja For Kano To See Dantata (Video)

The President was accompanied to the airport by several top government officials, including his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, and the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu.

Tinubu’s visit is in honour of the late elder statesman and renowned business magnate, Alhaji Aminu Dantata, who passed away at the age of 94 on Saturday, June 28.

According to a statement issued by presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga, the President had been outside the country at the time of Dantata’s death but had directed a delegation of ministers, led by the Minister of Defence, to attend the burial ceremony in Saudi Arabia as a mark of respect.

During his visit, President Tinubu is expected to extend his condolences to the Dantata family and also offer sympathies to the government and people of Kano State.
