Breaking: President Tinubu Makes Dramatic Return To Abuja Amid Speculations

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to Abuja following a private visit to France and the United Kingdom.

The update was shared on Monday night by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, via his official account.

Amid growing public calls for the President’s return due to escalating security concerns, Onanuga had earlier clarified on Thursday, April 17, 2025, that Tinubu’s absence was temporary and aligned with the previously announced two-week timeline.

He emphasized that despite being away, the President remained actively engaged with key government officials and continued to issue directives—especially to security chiefs—on addressing emerging threats across the country.

Onanuga further stated that Tinubu’s return and full resumption of duties at the Aso Rock Villa would follow the Easter holiday.

President Tinubu had departed Nigeria on Wednesday, April 2, for a two-week working visit to Paris, where he was expected to assess his administration’s mid-term performance and review notable accomplishments, as earlier announced by Onanuga.
