Other stakeholders involved included state career guidance and counselling departments, as well as the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC).

The commission said the final list was compiled after evaluating candidates who participated in the recently concluded written examination.

Applicants who sat for the examination have been advised to visit the official police recruitment portal to check their application status.

The PSC announced that the portal, npfapplication.psc.gov.ng, will be accessible from 12:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2026.

Candidates are expected to log in using the credentials submitted during their application to verify whether they were successful.

The commission urged applicants to rely only on the official recruitment portal and PSC communications for authentic information regarding the exercise.

It added that successful candidates would also receive notifications through the email addresses and phone numbers provided during registration.

According to the statement, the notifications will contain details of the next phase of the recruitment process.

The PSC further disclosed that successful applicants would be required to report to their designated Police Training Institutions for medical screening and documentation.

The commission said the dates, reporting times and training centres for each candidate would be communicated in due course.

It explained that the medical examination and documentation exercise would precede the commencement of formal training for the newly recruited police personnel.
