This announcement was made through an official press release, which was signed by Mallam Bala Ibrahim, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
Zainab, a seasoned journalist and former Radio Jigawa staff member, who also worked as a correspondent for Radio Germany (Deutsche Welle) and previously served as the zonal vice chairman of the National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ).
With this appointment, Zainab has achieved the distinction of becoming the first woman to serve as a media aide to the Governor of Jigawa State since the state’s establishment in 1991.
The press statement also conveyed the Governor’s approval for the appointment of an additional 116 Special Assistants and Senior Special Assistants.
