Breaking: Tinubu Government Declares June 12 Public Holiday Nationwide

The Federal Government of Nigeria, under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has declared Friday, June 12, a public holiday to mark Democracy Day.

The announcement was made by the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, on behalf of the Federal Government.

In a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr. Magdalene Ajani, the government said June 12 remains a symbolic date in Nigeria’s democratic history, commemorating the courage, resilience, and sacrifices of citizens whose efforts contributed to the establishment of democratic governance in the country.
