Eight commissioners have already tendered their resignations, aligning with the directive from Wike. Unfortunately for Governor Sim Fubara, another loyalist, the Commissioner for Environment, Hon Austin Ben-Chioma, has submitted his resignation.

In a further blow to the government, Dr. Darlington Orji, Chief of Staff to Nwanosike Samuel, Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area, Rivers State, has also resigned from his position.

The deepening unrest between the political heavyweights, Godfather Wike and Godson Sim Fubara, is palpable in Rivers State, indicating that the ongoing power struggle shows no signs of resolution anytime soon.
