‘Calm Down!’ – Heated Clash Erupts Between Senator Zam and Natasha in Lawmakers’ Chat
Senator Titus Zam of Benue North-West has taken a swipe at Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan of Kogi Central over her lingering feud with Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
The Benue lawmaker confronted Natasha in the Northern Senators Forum WhatsApp group on Tuesday, accusing her of seeking unnecessary attention.
According to Sahara Reporters, Zam wrote:
“Why do you wish to be in the news for the wrong reason? I thought by now you would be sober and engaging instead of resorting to needless altercations with the system. Recall that the Senate President administered the oath of office to you as the head of the institution you belong to. Calm down; you can’t subdue this institution.”
He urged Natasha to adopt a more composed and constructive approach rather than igniting constant confrontations.
Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan was suspended in March, with the suspension technically expiring in September. However, the Clerk to the National Assembly, Dr. Yahaya Danzaria, clarified in a letter dated September 4 that the matter remains subjudice until the judicial process is concluded and formally reviewed.
Natasha had earlier written to the Clerk on August 28, notifying the Senate of the expiration of her six-month suspension.
