CAN President, Daniel Okoh, expressed appreciation for the President’s efforts in securing the nation and called on Nigerians, who may be disheartened, to exercise patience and perseverance. The association, which had criticized Tinubu’s predecessor, former President Muhammadu Buhari, for mishandling security issues, acknowledged Tinubu’s commitment to inclusiveness.

In a departure from previous criticisms, CAN noted the inclusive nature of the current administration, citing positive steps and appointments that reflect a sense of belonging for all Nigerians. Okoh emphasized that Tinubu’s pronouncements and body language have boosted the confidence of the people, expressing optimism that the President would bring about positive change.

While recognizing the challenges facing the country, CAN urged Nigerians to understand that the issues predate the current administration and emphasized that the President is taking intentional steps to reverse negative trends in governance.

CAN urged President Tinubu to continue on the determined path of an all-inclusive government that listens to the people. Okoh expressed confidence in the President’s commitment to governance for all and encouraged him to identify individuals who genuinely care for the nation and utilize their expertise.

The association’s visit to the seat of power was to felicitate with President Tinubu on his electoral victory, marking a shift in its stance as it extends support to the current administration.
