The CBCN’s guidelines, outlined in a circular dated August 15, 2024, address several issues, including the distortion of liturgy for inculturation purposes, irreverent handling of the Eucharist, and inappropriate activities during liturgical celebrations. The circular also prohibits taking multiple collections or fundraising during Mass and placing children on the altar for dedication, contrary to Church teachings that children are dedicated to God through baptism.
