Champions League Drama: Liverpool Stun Atletico, Bayern Crush Chelsea, PSG Run Riot Against Atalanta

Liverpool edged Atletico Madrid 3-2 in a thrilling night at Anfield. Andrew Robertson opened the scoring inside four minutes, and Mohamed Salah doubled the advantage soon after with trademark precision.

Atletico fought back, with Marcos Llorente pulling one back before half-time and equalising in the 81st minute. But Virgil van Dijk rose highest in stoppage time to head home the winner for Jurgen Klopp’s men.

In Munich, Bayern showcased their dominance with a 3-1 victory over Chelsea. An early Trevoh Chalobah own goal set the tone before Harry Kane struck twice, one from the penalty spot, to secure the win. Cole Palmer’s effort briefly gave Chelsea hope, but Bayern’s superiority was clear throughout.

Inter Milan left Amsterdam stunned as Marcus Thuram’s brace—on either side of the interval—sealed a 2-0 win over Ajax.

At the Parc des Princes, PSG dismantled Atalanta 4-0 in ruthless fashion, with goals from Marquinhos, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Nuno Mendes, and Sergio Ramos.

Elsewhere, Slavia Prague drew 2-2 with Bodo/Glimt, while Olympiakos were held to a goalless draw by Pafos in Piraeus.

Tuesday’s fixtures were equally dramatic. Juventus and Borussia Dortmund shared the spoils in an eight-goal thriller that ended 4-4, while Real Madrid edged Marseille 2-1 thanks to two Kylian Mbappe penalties. Arsenal claimed a strong 2-0 away win at Athletic Bilbao through Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard.

Benfica suffered a shock 3-2 home defeat to Qarabag, while Tottenham eked out a 1-0 victory over Villarreal.
