Chaos In Edo: Oshiomhole Debunks Allegations Labelled Against Him By Gov, Obaseki, Claims He Is Not The Cause Of The Protest

Former Edo State Governor, Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole, denies allegations labelled against him of causing chaos in the state yesterday.

Oshiomhole issued the denial in response to the call for his arrest by the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, over the protests in Benin City, Edo state.

The former APC National chairman said the call for his arrest was unnecessary because he never organized the unlawful protest in the state yesterday.

Oshiomhole made this known to the public and current Edo state governor, Godwin Obaseki via his spokesman Victor Oshioke. CONTINUE READING

Oshiomhole’s spokesman in his words said: “If Oshiomhole used the word intimidate, he said they should intimidate them with their campaign, he said they should not leave the space in Edo for other parties because Edo is an APC state”.

“The short video is everywhere, if they have the whole video let them post it and judge it with the short one they have, did he say demonstrate? No.

“Oshiomhole said they should intimidate them with their crowd, that the APC crowd should be able to intimidate other parties’ crowds in Edo.

“Oshiomhole didn’t make any statement to suggest that anybody should riot against anybody.”

Recall they were a disastrous protest in Edo state yesterday by angry residents. The protest was held in a different part of the state but the one that occurred at the CBN gate headlined the protest. Naira scarcity and bad governance was the cause of the protest. Banks were vandalized, and at least three persons were confirmed dead, Banks such as the first bank and zenith recorded the death of workers.

Godwin Obaseki is playing politics here on Adams Oshiomhole’s senatorial candidacy to promote his Party house of senate member, Alimikhena. Since the first protest last year which was targeted at Obaseki when he was called “a goat and land grabber” by protesters, he has not addressed his followers till today, all he has done is follow the back door to attend to the issues including the fuel scarcity protest, all of a sudden he now cares? because of a video of Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole saying APC should oppress other party supporters with an organic crowd.
