Although Davido deleted the video in response to the backlash, he did not issue an apology, leading to the burning of his poster by the angry youths. Reacting on Twitter, Charly Boy criticized the act, urging the youths to seek legal means if they felt offended.

He questioned whether Davido’s actions were responsible for increasing poverty in the North and pointed out the hypocrisy of those who claim to be devout Muslims yet engage in unethical practices locally.

Charly Boy called for a more rational and constructive approach to address grievances rather than resorting to destructive actions.
