This revelation came during a visit to the State House, Abuja, where a delegation from the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), led by its President, Lucky Emonefe, met with Gbajabiamila.

Encouraging Nigerian students to embrace the initiative, Gbajabiamila emphasized that the scheme’s objective is to ensure equitable access to quality education for all students in the country, irrespective of their socioeconomic status.

“Mr. President is fully committed to seeing this initiative succeed. We are optimistic that it will be launched within the next two to three weeks; we are currently finalizing the necessary preparations before the official launch,” he stated.

It is worth noting that since President Tinubu signed the Student Loan Scheme into law in June of last year, its implementation has faced various delays.
