Clark Raises Concerns: Ganduje, Damagum, Wike Forming Alliance To Sabotage Fubara’s Administration....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Former Federal Commissioner for Information and South South Leader, Chief Edwin Clark, has leveled serious allegations against the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, and the Acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Amb. Umar Damagum. He accuses them of collaborating with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), Nyesom Wike, to undermine the elected government of Rivers State and its governor, Siminalayi Fubara.
Clark, a prominent figure in the Ijaw community and leader of PANDEF, has called upon the National Working Committee (NWC), the National Executive Committee (NEC), and stakeholders of both parties to intervene and rein in Ganduje and Damagum.
In a letter dated May 20, 2024, addressed to the APC and PDP chairmen, Clark urged them to restrain Wike, whom he accused of playing a disruptive role in Rivers State politics by simultaneously aligning himself with both parties. He criticized Ganduje for siding with a caretaker committee in APC, which, he alleges, is undermining the duly elected executives in Rivers State.
Clark contends that the support extended to Wike by the party chairmen has emboldened him to intimidate and provoke the Rivers State government, potentially leading to the overthrow of the elected governor. He implores both chairmen to distance themselves from what he describes as Wike’s sinister agenda, emphasizing the need for peace and stability in Nigeria.
Furthermore, Clark criticizes Ganduje and Damagum for violating their party constitutions by not adhering to the geographical zoning principle in the appointment of NWC members. He accuses them of fostering confusion rather than upholding the rule of law.
