Adejobi referenced the successful collaboration with traditional institutions in combating the Badoo rituals in Ikorodu, Lagos, as a model for current efforts. He emphasized that tackling ritual killings requires a comprehensive approach involving community and traditional leaders, as the issue is deeply rooted in spiritual and cultural contexts.

He stated, “Community leaders and traditional institutions need to take decisive action against this menace. We previously succeeded in addressing the Badoo rituals in Ikorodu through similar collaboration. The involvement of traditional institutions is crucial, as this issue is more spiritual than purely legal or physical.”

Adejobi also called for the creation of a distinct law specifically targeting ritual killings, separate from general murder cases. He argued that ritual killings involve not only murder but also a profound disrespect for the deceased and the practice of ritualism, warranting its own legal framework.
