IJAW YOUTHS FOR BOLA AHMED TINUBU (IYBAT)

The leadership and members of the Ijaw Youths for Bola Ahmed Tinubu (IYBAT) heartily congratulate His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, Executive Governor of Bayelsa State, on his bold and progressive decision to defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

This historic and well-considered move represents one of the most strategic political decisions in the history of our dear state and the Ijaw nation at large. Governor Diri’s defection is not only a testament to his visionary leadership but also a demonstration of his genuine commitment to the unity, peace, and development of our people.

As Ijaw youths, we see this decision as a bridge of renewed partnership between Bayelsa State and the Federal Government under the transformative leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. We firmly believe that this alignment will accelerate development, promote inclusiveness, and attract the needed federal attention and investments that will enhance infrastructure, education, entrepreneurship, and youth empowerment in Bayelsa and across the Niger Delta.

Governor Diri’s choice to align with the progressive ideals of the APC symbolizes a new chapter of collaboration and hope for the Ijaw nation. It is a clear signal that our leaders are ready to put the collective interest of the people above partisan and personal boundaries—a move that deserves commendation and total support.

As a youth movement committed to the vision of a greater Nigeria under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Ijaw Youths for Bola Ahmed Tinubu pledge our unwavering loyalty and readiness to work closely with Governor Diri in mobilizing the energetic and resourceful Ijaw youths across the Niger Delta to ensure the resounding re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.

We celebrate His Excellency for this courageous political realignment and assure him that the Ijaw youths stand solidly behind him. Together, we shall build a stronger, more prosperous, and more united Ijaw nation within a renewed Nigeria.
