Controversy Erupts As Pastor Ibiyeomie Boasts: ‘I Will Be Stinkingly Rich Regardless

The General Overseer of Salvation Ministries in Rivers State, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, has stated that his wealth is not dependent on offerings or tithes from church members.

In a video that has since gone viral, Ibiyeomie described tithing as a “foundation covenant” that every Christian is expected to observe.

He explained that anyone attempting to experience covenant prosperity without tithing is, in his view, building without a solid foundation.

To illustrate his point, the cleric disclosed details of his personal giving, saying he gives a minimum of $12,000 every Sunday.

According to him, “You cannot say that you are walking in a covenant if your foundation is not in place. Your foundation covenant is your tithe.

“When you build a house without a foundation, it cannot stand. Trying to walk in covenant wealth without tithing is like building without a foundation.

“The minimum I give on a Sunday is $12,000. Every Sunday. On weekdays, the minimum I give is $2,000. Even when I am not in church or when I travel, my offering is always there.

“Even when I am absent, you will still find my offering recorded.”

He further added that his financial prosperity is not tied to church donations, stressing that he would remain wealthy regardless of contributions from members.

“If you don’t give your offering, I will still be rich—stinkingly rich. I am not dependent on your money. Even if you refuse to give me anything, I will still prosper because my wealth comes from my covenant with God,” he said.
