Controversy Erupts As Seun Kuti Questions Motive Behind IShowSpeed Tour
Popular Nigerian singer Seun Kuti has stirred controversy after claiming that the recent African tour by American streamer and influencer IShowSpeed was more than a cultural visit, alleging it was linked to a covert mission for Elon Musk.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
IShowSpeed, who visited 20 African countries in January 2026, had said the tour was aimed at showcasing and promoting African culture.
But in a video shared on social media, Seun Kuti dismissed that explanation, claiming the trip was sponsored to assess the reach of Musk’s satellite network across the continent.
According to him, the tour had a hidden agenda beyond public appearances and cultural engagement.
Seun also recounted that the tour’s promoter and producer had previously contacted him about a possible meeting, which he agreed to, but said communication suddenly stopped when the team arrived in Nigeria.
He said repeated calls and messages were not returned, adding that he later received what he described as dismissive messages after the tour.
Kuti claimed he later learned that the real objective of the trip was tied to tracking how far satellite coverage had extended across Africa, alleging this was the reason the team reportedly visited remote locations.
Based on that claim, he described the tour as a “spy job” linked to Musk, rather than solely a cultural initiative.
