Controversy Erupts As Yul Edochie Questions Why Peter Obi Hasn’t Achieved More Politically
Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has suggested that Peter Obi’s recent political setbacks may be linked to an oath he allegedly took before leaving the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
In a post shared on his X handle, Yul claimed Obi’s presidential ambition is spiritually and politically tied to APGA, implying that his progress may remain limited unless he returns to the party.
According to the actor, Obi had once pledged before the late Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu and Anambra stakeholders that he would never leave APGA, allegedly declaring he would remain in the party for life.
Yul further claimed Obi reportedly made a vow that if he ever left the party, he might not achieve political success again — an oath he believes is affecting the former Anambra governor’s fortunes.
He argued that such oaths carry weight and suggested they may be hindering Obi’s political advancement.
The actor also linked Obi’s 2023 election outcome to that claim, arguing that while others benefited politically from Obi’s popularity, Obi himself did not secure victory.
Yul went further to dismiss Obi’s current political moves with the African Democratic Congress (ADC), describing them as unproductive, while expressing the view that Obi could still have a presidential path in 2031—if pursued through APGA.
