The resolution followed plenary in Ibadan, where lawmakers reaffirmed their support for both the executive and legislative arms of government.
Presenting the motion, Majority Leader Sanjo Adedoyin described the impeachment allegations as false, distracting and politically driven.
He maintained that the Assembly remained united and committed to its constitutional duties, stressing that no formal impeachment process or communication had been initiated within the House.
Lawmakers also rejected speculations linking Governor Makinde, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Rashidi Ladoja, and some legislators to alleged plots against one another, describing the claims as misleading and without basis.
The controversy had earlier gained traction following remarks credited to former Ekiti State governor Ayodele Fayose, though both the Oyo State Government and the palace denied the claims.
Seconding the motion, Deputy Speaker Mohammed Fadeyi described the Assembly as united and praised the Makinde administration’s record, citing progress in infrastructure, education and healthcare.
Chief Whip Gbenga Oyekola also rejected suggestions of impeachment discussions within the legislature and cautioned against spreading false narratives.
He said the House remains focused on governance and delivering democratic dividends to the people of Oyo State through effective representation.
Oyekola added that the rumours exist only as speculation and should be disregarded by the public.
The lawmakers further stressed that the Assembly would not be swayed by external pressures and reaffirmed their support for both Makinde and Ogundoyin.
