Countdown Begins: Government Poised To Reveal Identities Behind Nigeria’s Terror Network
President Bola Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, has revealed that the Federal Government will soon disclose the identities of those financing terrorism in Nigeria.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Speaking during an interview on Television Continental (TVC) on Sunday, Bwala said the administration is now taking bold steps to tackle insecurity by addressing its underlying drivers.
He noted that terrorism has evolved into a global challenge, stressing that world powers must now work closely with Nigeria to combat the threat.
“Since the 9/11 attacks, terrorism has become an international concern,” he said. “Wherever terrorism exists, it becomes the business of the global community. That is why it is in the world’s interest to support Nigeria’s efforts to end it.
“They started in the Middle East and are gradually moving toward the Sahel, attempting to establish a terrorism hub. This is why global governments are being called upon to cooperate with Nigeria.
“At the domestic level, the government is taking major decisions, and in the coming days, Nigerians will know who the terrorists and their financiers are.”
This position by the Tinubu administration comes years after the United Arab Emirates submitted a list of six Nigerians linked to terrorism financing to the government of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
