Titled “No Election Tomorrow,” the memo stated:

Reacting to the situation, Atiku called for a peaceful and orderly election at the time of filing this report.

“As residents of Osun State head to the polls today to elect council chairpersons, I once again urge for a peaceful and smooth process.

“Local council elections are the foundation of democracy, directly impacting the lives of citizens.

“I commend Governor Ademola Adeleke for ensuring the election proceeds and urge security agencies and polling officials to carry out their duties with the highest level of responsibility,” he said.
