This new price reflects a ₦20 decrease from the refinery’s previous ex-depot price of ₦990 per litre, which had been set earlier this month. The statement explained that the price reduction also serves as a way to thank the government for its support in fostering domestic enterprise for the benefit of the nation.
The refinery emphasized its commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in its petroleum products, with a focus on environmental sustainability. Additionally, the company pledged to ramp up production to meet domestic fuel demand and address concerns over potential supply shortages.
With this price reduction, oil marketers stand to benefit from significant cost savings on each litre of petrol sourced from the refinery’s Lekki-based plant.
