Davido Never Gave Me A Penny!” – VDM Fires Back At Critics Over Burna Boy Link-Up (Video)

Some critics labelled the outspoken social commentator an “ingrate,” claiming Davido had supported him in the past.

However, VDM clarified that he has never received any money from Davido. He explained that during his visit to Lagos to meet the singer, many assumed Davido funded his trip and hotel stay, but he kept quiet at the time for entertainment’s sake.

He went on to explain that when Davido donated to his NGO, it wasn’t prompted by any request from him. In fact, he recalled coming online to ask who had made a certain donation, and Davido responded that he hadn’t—but promised to contribute.

VDM emphasized that neither Davido nor anyone from his 30BG crew has ever given him money or received a request for financial support from him.

On his recent hangout with Burna Boy, VDM stated that he hasn’t collected anything from the “African Giant” either. According to him, their conversation revolved around cars, politics, and the struggles of Nigerian youths, and at no point did they mention Davido or any other celebrity.

Addressing his critics, VDM asserted his independence, declaring that he is no one’s “boy” and will freely speak his mind, associate with whoever he chooses, and criticize anyone he feels deserves it.
