Another stampede took place at a charity event organized by Chief Ernest Obiejesi, also known as Obijackson, in Anambra State. This incident left three people dead and others injured.

A senior police officer confirmed the tragedies and noted that investigations would begin immediately. The officer described the incidents as likely caused by crowd mismanagement and expressed deep sympathy for the affected families.

In a statement, IGP Egbetokun condemned the negligence of organizers and stressed that the chaos could have been avoided with proper precautions. He has directed police commissioners in the affected states to investigate thoroughly and hold those responsible accountable.
