Deji Adeyanju Explodes: Everyone Teamed Up Against Jonathan Just To Crown Buhari
Nigerian lawyer and human rights advocate, Deji Adeyanju, has slammed former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, accusing him of distorting historical facts.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Adeyanju’s reaction follows Mustapha’s recent claim that former President Muhammadu Buhari secured victory in the 2015 presidential election largely due to his consistent 12 million votes, while the merger of legacy parties only contributed an additional three million.
Speaking at the launch of Garba Shehu’s book, “According to the President: Lessons from a Presidential Spokesperson’s Experience”, Mustapha argued that Buhari’s support base, primarily from the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), was the real force behind the win, dismissing the idea that President Bola Tinubu played a decisive role.
However, in a post shared on (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, Adeyanju ridiculed the assertion, likening Buhari’s political track record before 2015 to that of serial presidential loser, Atiku Abubakar.
He stated that Buhari could never have defeated then-President Goodluck Jonathan without the collective power of a broad coalition, which included Tinubu, defecting PDP governors, and international influences.
Adeyanju wrote:
“Boss Mustapha’s claim that Buhari won the 2015 election all by himself with 12 million votes is not only delusional but an outright attempt to revise history.
Buhari, like Atiku, was a serial loser before the coalition.
The 2015 victory was the result of a widespread alliance – Tinubu, Atiku, Amaechi, PDP defectors, even Barack Obama’s influence, and millions of Nigerians who were misled into believing in Buhari’s ‘change’ agenda.”
