Deji Adeyanju has lauded Senior Pastor and General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries International, Apostle Johnson Suleman, following a court order demanding actress Halima to compensate him with ten million in damages over derogatory remarks against his character. READ THE FULL ARTICLE HERE
On Monday, it was disclosed that a Federal Capital Territory High Court has mandated Nollywood actress Halima Abubakar to pay N10m as compensation to the Senior Pastor and General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries International, Apostle Johnson Suleman, for disseminating defamatory comments against him.
The court further prohibits her from perpetrating further defamatory remarks against the clergyman.
Based on the Certified True Copy of the judgment dated April 8, 2024, the clergyman accused Abubakar of disseminating libelous statements on her Instagram page @halimabubakar, which were subsequently published by numerous blogs and newspapers.
The clergyman specifically alleged that Abubakar labeled him as a womanizer and diabolical, among other accusations.
Legal practitioner Deji Adeyanju expressed his reaction to this development via his X handle, stating

“Dear Fake Pastors who arrest and lock up critics in prison with police, hope you can see the way to do it if you won’t be like Christ and forgive? You mere sinful men who are not even as holy as Christ do not want to be insulted & criticized yet Christ was insulted but he forgave.”
“Christ was accused, arrested, judged & killed for things he didn’t do yet he didn’t curse nor fight anyone. He just said FORGIVE THEM FATHER FOR THEY DONT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. But our fake pastors prefer to lock up critics in cells & prison.”
“Why didn’t TB Joshua lock up all the critics that said unprintable things about him throughout his life time? Papa Oyedepo, Adeboye and others have not locked up anyone despite all the attacks but it is one small fake pastor that is locking up critics. Fake power drunk pastors.”
