Governor Oborevwori reflected on the state’s journey, noting it has been marked by both challenges and successes. He expressed pride in Delta’s evolution into a dynamic and essential part of the Nigerian federation. According to him, the state is distinguished by its entrepreneurial spirit and innovation, which are recognized both locally and internationally.

Senator Prince Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North Senatorial District, encouraged Deltans to unite in prayer for the state’s continued blessings and protection. He emphasized that faith in God is crucial for the state’s success and expressed optimism about Delta’s future.

In his sermon titled “The Power of Collective Thanksgiving,” Pastor Shiyanbade Adekunle, the State Mission Overseer of Living Faith Church, urged Deltans to be thankful for the state’s achievements. He stressed that gratitude to God would bring about continued blessings and urged residents to maintain their faith in any circumstances.

The Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme, read a passage from Psalm 136 during the service, which also included prayers for the state. Senator Nwoko commended the resilience of Delta’s people over the past 33 years and praised the progress made across various sectors. He urged the public to support the PDP-led government, which he believes is committed to delivering democratic dividends.

Similarly, Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Dennis Guwor, acknowledged the significant progress made since the state’s creation on August 27, 1991. He praised the determination and resilience of the people, noting that Delta has become a symbol of hope and opportunity.
