Speaking at the conclusion of a two-day retreat for committee members in Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State, on Saturday, Kalu—who also serves as the Deputy Speaker of the House—commended the dedication of committee members and urged them to remain steadfast in their commitment.

Expressing gratitude for their efforts, he stated, “We are proud of you. On behalf of the Speaker, the House of Representatives, and the leadership of the National Assembly, we selected you for this critical task, and you have not let us down.”

Kalu acknowledged the challenges associated with the review process but emphasized the urgency of completing the first phase before the next election cycle. He praised the committee’s teamwork and dedication, stressing that their collective effort is crucial in shaping a constitution that truly represents the will of the Nigerian people.

“You are the architects of Nigeria’s brighter future,” he added. “Despite the obstacles, your commitment and diligence will pave the way for a better nation. If we persist, Nigerians will soon reap the benefits of this crucial work.”
