A Summary of Sanwo-Olu inaugurated Projects this week;

Bonus: On the 29th of May, Sanwo-Olu meet with the CEO of OpenAI, Mr. Sam Altman at the United States Consul General, Will Stevens’ residence.

He shared the moment with his supporters on Twitter he wrote; “Tonight, at the the United States Consul General, Will Stevens’ residence, I had a dialogue session with the CEO of OpenAI, Mr. Sam Altman. Open AI is an Artificial Intelligence tool, built to assist and empower individuals in countless domains, from healthcare to education, from creative pursuits to scientific breakthroughs. One of Open AI’s initiatives is the “ChatGPT”, an artificial intelligence tool that allows a user to have human-like conversations with the chatbot. The language model can answer questions and assist you with tasks, such as composing emails, essays, and code. Currently the most powerful artificial intelligence tool in the world, ChatGPT will go a long way in revolutionizing the way users work and process information and data. Also in attendance at this engagement, were young tech entrepreneurs and innovators.”

  • On the 24th of May, Sanwo-Olu commissioned 13 vital projects across Lagos. He also shared the motive towards the purpose of the project.

In his words, he said;

“Today, I had the honour of commissioning 13 vital projects across Lagos, delivering on our promise to bring progress and prosperity to the people. From schools to jetties, medical facilities to roads, these projects will transform lives and build a Greater Lagos.”

“It was a proud moment to inaugurate the School of Basic Medical Science Block, MCC (SDG Building), and other medical infrastructure at LASUTH. Our goal is to strengthen healthcare delivery in Lagos, ensuring modern facilities and quality care for all.”

“In our commitment to improving water transportation, reducing travel time, and ensuring safety on our waterways, we commissioned multiple jetties with waiting shelters and shoreline protection. Lagosians can now enjoy smoother journeys on our beautiful waterways!.”

“Education is the key to progress, and today we celebrated the opening of Government Girls Senior College in Agege, Alimosho Junior Grammar School, and Ijaiye Housing Estate Junior Secondary School.   • On May 25th working Governor of Lagos commissioned multiple roads across Lagos to decongest traffic. He also inaugurated markets in the State.

He wrote; “Good evening, Lagosians. Today, we commissioned multiple completed projects across the Lagos metropolis. I officially commissioned the Ogudu-Alapere Link Road and Bridge, connecting four local councils in Lagos State.”

“This dual carriageway will ease traffic congestion and improve connectivity. Another milestone achieved in our commitment to purposeful governance. I commissioned the Babajide Sanwo-Olu International Market which was built by the Ikosi-Isheri LCDA Chairman, Hon. Samiat Bada in Ikosi Ketu and the Ikosi International Fruit Market. These modern markets will drive economic growth and create opportunities for traders. They also address security challenges and provide a safe trading environment.”

“I also commissioned the newly rehabilitated Prince Adesoji Ajose Street in Ogudu. These projects improve accessibility and enhance travel experience for residents. We will continue to prioritize infrastructure renewal for better quality of life. In the educational sector, I inaugurated three schools in Lagos East: Shams-el-Deen Junior Grammar School, Elepe Community Junior High School, and Kosofe Senior College. Our investment in education infrastructure ensures a conducive learning environment for our future leaders.”

  • On May 26th, Sanwo-Olu started the day by putting the smiles on thousands of residents in Lagos as he inaugurated the newly built Health care facility in Lagos Island.

He wrote; “Today, we continued the commissioning of various projects in Lagos State. We kick started the day with the commissioning of the Primary Healthcare Facility built in Sura, Lagos Island by the chairman of Lagos Island East LCDA, Hon. Muibi Folawiyo. Congratulations and well-done to the chairman for conscientiously leading, and having the best interest of the good people of Lagos Island at heart by expanding their access to quality healthcare in the area.”

He went further to commission newly upgraded roads in Lagos Island East Local Council Development Area.

Sanwo-Olu also reopened the redeveloped and upgraded Iga Iduganran Primary Healthcare Centre in Isale Eko the same day. Note it was vandalized during the demonic protest, Endsars

Lastly, Mr Project commissioned the state of the art school at Ebute-Metta in Lagos Mainland.

In his words, he said;

“To cap an eventful yet fulfilling day, we commissioned the Oke-Odo Junior High School (Education District IV) at Ebute-Metta in Lagos Mainland. The facilities in the newly commissioned Oke-Odo Junior High School are 15 blocks of classrooms, a laboratory, a Staff room, a Sick Bay, a Principal Office, a Vice Principal Office, 36 toilets, and a multi-purpose sports facility for lawn tennis, volleyball, basketball, and badminton.”

“We will stop at nothing to ensure that the very best is pushed forward at all times. Our investment in the education sector and in the future of our children have continued to yield the desired outcome through the good performance of Lagos State public school students at both State and National competitions.”

“We are geared towards attaining a global standard for effective learning and teaching. That is our goal for education in Lagos.”
