During Ejiofor’s visit to Kanu at the SSS Headquarters in Abuja, the IPOB leader emphasized that Simon Ekpa is allegedly being “procured and fully bankrolled” by the Nigerian government to create chaos in the region.

Kanu urged the people to reject unauthorized sit-at-home directives and be vigilant against individuals involved in activities that harm their community.

Kanu expressed concern about the economic hardships and violent crimes in the Southeast and called on his people to examine the actions of genuine freedom fighters worldwide, noting that their methods should not involve inflicting suffering and terror on their own people.

He condemned the activities of those causing unrest in the region, which extends to various violent crimes, including kidnapping and killings.

The detained leader also issued undisclosed directives to address the activities of Ekpa and his associates, intending to curb their influence and protect the region’s peace and stability.
