Residents of Takum local government council in Taraba are tallying their damages after a windstorm tore through several parts of the area on Tuesday.
The windstorm, accompanied by a prolonged heavy downpour, resulted in widespread destruction of homes.
Among the hardest-hit areas in the council are Angwan Rogo and Cameroon quarters.
Business activities have ground to a halt as residents continue to assess the extent of damage to their homes and belongings.
Speaking to our reporter, some victims recounted how the windstorm, followed by heavy rainfall, ripped off the roofs of more than fifty houses.
