A conflagration has ravaged several three-storey buildings, causing extensive damage to properties worth millions of naira in the Docemo locality of Idumota, Lagos State.

The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, in an official statement released via its designated platform, disclosed that it promptly responded to a distress call concerning the fire outbreak at approximately 7:40 am. Emergency services were swiftly mobilized to the scene.

Upon reaching the location, responders found that the blaze had engulfed three structures, comprising two two-storey buildings and one three-storey edifice. Firefighting operations were immediately initiated to contain the inferno.

Margaret Adeseye, the Director of the Fire and Rescue Service, stated that the cause of the fire remains undetermined, with investigations currently underway. As of now, there have been no confirmed casualties resulting from the incident.

The statement reiterated the urgency of cooperation from residents with emergency personnel and advised individuals to steer clear of the affected area for their safety.

Firefighting efforts continue, with resources deployed from the Ebute Elefun, Ilupeju, and Alausa fire stations to effectively manage the situation.
