Authorities allege that Combs used unauthorized communication methods, raising fears of potential witness tampering. Federal Judge Arun Subramanian ruled that no conditions could reasonably assure the safety of the community, leading to the continued detention of the 55-year-old mogul.

In his ruling, Judge Subramanian also rejected Combs’s request to be released to prepare for his defense, stating that Combs had failed to demonstrate that release was necessary for trial preparation. The charges against Combs include accusations that he sexually abused women and coerced them into participating in drug-fueled sex parties under threats of violence.

The investigation into Combs continues, with prosecutors indicating that further evidence is being reviewed and additional charges may be forthcoming.
