According to Daily Nigerian, the nominee is Adamu Garba Talba, who represented Yobe South during the Second Republic. Records show that Talba died in July 2025, yet his name appeared among the 31 non-career nominees officially presented on the Senate floor by Senate President Godswill Akpabio on December 4, 2025.
