The controversy began after Eniola Badmus took to social media to express disappointment over a makeup artist who allegedly failed to honour a scheduled appointment. In her reaction, the actress shared the makeup artist’s phone number online and urged her followers to contact the individual.
However, the makeup artist defended her actions, explaining that the appointment had never been confirmed because no deposit had been made. She maintained that her business policy requires advance payment before any booking is considered valid and said she only addressed the issue publicly after receiving numerous threats from online users.
Reacting to the incident in a Snapchat video shared on Saturday, Funke Akindele jokingly questioned Badmus over her conduct on social media. The award-winning actress recalled repeatedly advising her colleague against engaging in online disputes and publicly exchanging insults.
Funke stressed that Eniola’s actions were inappropriate, adding that she had consistently encouraged her to avoid unnecessary social media confrontations. In a light-hearted remark, she warned that if Eniola could not accept correction, she should refrain from visiting her.
Meanwhile, Eniola Badmus has also dismissed a viral social media post accusing her of acting as a “private pimp” within the Nigerian entertainment industry.
The post, accompanied by the actress’s photographs, alleged that she connected young women with filmmakers, movie executives and politicians for exploitation and claimed that those alleged connections paved the way for her entry into politics.
Responding to the allegations, Eniola described the claims as entirely false, malicious and intended to attract public attention. She further stated that the matter would be handled by the appropriate authorities.
