Drama As Tenant Allegedly Pulls Down Fence, Takes Gate After Landlord Issues Quit Notice

A Nigerian man has reportedly removed a gate he personally installed at a compound after allegedly receiving a quit notice from his landlord.

According to Bush Radio Academy, the unusual incident was shared by an X user identified as @oneman_official, who said the man lived in a neighbouring compound and had initially moved into the property when it had no gate.

The X user explained that the man later installed a gate himself because he had children and owned a car, apparently to improve security and convenience at the compound.

“He moved in when the compound doesn’t have gate yet,” the post stated.

“He installed gate by himself because of his kids and because he has a car,” the user added.

However, the situation reportedly changed after the man was served a quit notice. According to the account, he eventually moved out of the compound before returning later.

“They gave him quit notice! He moved out and came back last night,” the X user wrote.

The man reportedly returned to the property and dismantled part of the fence before taking away the gate he had previously installed.

“He broke the fence and took his gate,” the post stated.

The incident has since generated reactions online, with social media users sharing different opinions about the man’s decision to remove the gate after leaving the property. While some questioned the circumstances surrounding the dispute, others debated whether a tenant who personally installed a fixture should be allowed to take it away after vacating the property.
