Drama Unfolds: May Yul-Edochie Sues Yinka Theisen, Demands ₦1.5 Billion Damages
Through her legal team, Graylaw Partners, May Yul-Edochie accused both Emmanuel Ugwuonye and Yinka Theisen of spreading defamatory content about her on social media platforms, including X, Instagram, and Facebook.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
She argued that the posts not only damaged her reputation but also negatively impacted her business interests.
In separate cease-and-desist letters, her lawyers demanded that the duo take down all defamatory publications, issue a public apology, and publish retractions on the platforms where the statements were originally shared.
Beyond this, she is seeking ₦1 billion in damages from Ugwuonye and ₦500 million from Theisen.
The notice to Ugwuonye alleged that he misused confidential information from past dealings with her, worsening the situation and exposing her to further harm. Meanwhile, the letter to Theisen accused her of amplifying false claims online and encouraging others to circulate them, thereby intensifying the damage to May’s public image.
Both were given 48 hours to comply with the demands. Her lawyers warned that failure to do so would trigger civil and criminal proceedings to defend her rights and restore her reputation.
