Drama Unfolds: Tonto Dikeh Fires Back At ‘Inappropriate Hug’ Allegations

The incident occurred during a football-themed birthday party for their son in Abuja, which was attended by numerous Nigerian celebrities.

A video that went viral showed a man resembling Churchill embracing Tonto Dikeh, prompting speculation among netizens that the man was her ex-husband. Online commentators criticized her, with some suggesting that fellow Nollywood actress Rosy Meurer might be displeased by the footage.

Responding in the comments section of an Instagram blog, Tonto Dikeh clarified that the man in the video was actually Churchill’s uncle. She described the circulating claims as both inaccurate and disrespectful.

She wrote:

“This is completely inappropriate and inaccurate. He is Churchill’s uncle, and by extension, my uncle as well. My son was born in his home, under his care and protection. His wife, Aunty Vivian, was the one who took me to the hospital when I went into labor.

They opened their home to me for six months. In a country as demanding as America, they ensured my baby and I were well cared for—providing food, clothing, and a safe roof over our heads. They did all this out of love, without hesitation.

This narrative is deeply disrespectful to him, to me, and to our families. I would appreciate more thoughtfulness and sensitivity moving forward, please.”
