Drug Peddler Remanded After Alleged Dealing In 1.1 kg Of Cannabis

Tesleem Bolaji has been remanded in the Agodi correctional center by a Federal High Court in Ibadan for allegedly trafficking 1.1 kg of Cannabis Sativa.

Presiding judge Justice Ekerete Akpan issued the order after Bolaji pleaded guilty to the charge of unlawful narcotics dealing. The case is adjourned until June 17 for further proceedings. According to Ann Balogun, counsel to the NDLEA Oyo State Command, Bolaji was apprehended in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, on March 6 following a tip-off. The prosecutor stated that Bolaji was arrested in possession of a sack containing the illegal substance, contravening section 11(C) of the NDLEA Act Cap N30 Law of the Federation 2004.
