DSS Launches Operation In Abia To Apprehend Soldiers Attackers

The bounty, initially set at N25m, has been increased to N30m. The announcement was made during a visit by Air Marshall Hasan Abubakar, Chief of Air Staff, to Nvosi in Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area.

Governor Otti attributed the increase to an additional N5m donation from a Nigerian resident in the United States.

The attack, reportedly carried out by suspected members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), aimed to enforce a sit-at-home order.

Otti emphasized the government’s commitment to collaborating with security agencies to prevent future incidents and ensure the safety of residents.

He thanked the Department of State Services (DSS) for their support and reiterated efforts to apprehend the criminals, emphasizing that Abia State will not tolerate terrorism, killings, or other criminal activities.
