Nollywood actress Judy Austin has cautioned young women against rushing into marriage before they are mentally and emotionally ready.

Drawing from her personal experiences, the actress warned about the dangers of early marriage, such as divorce and the struggles of single parenthood.

In a video shared on her Instagram page, Judy advised women not to marry a man simply because of pregnancy, noting that such impulsive decisions often lead to lifelong regret.

She emphasized the importance of self-awareness and emotional maturity, urging women to reflect deeply on whether they can truly spend the rest of their lives with a partner before taking the plunge.

According to her, mental preparedness is crucial for managing the responsibilities and challenges that come with marriage.

The actress also encouraged women to focus on personal growth, advising them to date, learn about people, and put their trust in themselves and in God.

Judy stressed that self-reliance, career development, and emotional stability are key to making wise relationship choices.

Reflecting on her own experiences, she noted that many women who marry too early often face emotional trauma, failed marriages, or struggle to raise children they were not ready for.

She added that early marriage has destroyed many young women’s dreams, forcing some to vanish after childbirth due to overwhelming pressure.

Judy Austin, who became actor Yul Edochie’s second wife in April 2022, has three children with him. She was previously married, a union that ended in 2013.
